Together\, they find new ways to listen and bridge divides. \nAdam Blackman is a nonprofit management professional and freelance editor. Throughout his 25 years of nonprofit management\, he has developed networks of support for causes as varied as HIV/AIDS service in New York City and Chicago\, justice-impacted individuals nationwide\, and New York City’s Chinese immigrant community. He has taught writing and civic engagement in K-12 class-rooms and acquires and edits picture books for an independent children’s publisher specializing in realistic\, representative books for socially thoughtful children. He lives with his tween son in Brooklyn and has been a Coop member since 2007. \nKaty Scoggin is an award-winning documentary film director\, cameraperson\, and producer. Her feature directorial debut Flood screened at film festivals worldwide and won Special Mention in International Competition at IDFA in 2025. The film premiered on PBS Independent Lens on July 13\, 2026. Previously\, Katy worked for Laura Poitras on three features and two shorts\, including Oscar-winning CITIZENFOUR (HBO)\, Risk (Showtime)\, and Emmy-nominated The Oath (POV). She was a cameraperson on feature docs Who Moves America (True/False) and Adam’s Apple (SXSW).
