Film Night: UNION (2024)

Union is an American documentary film directed by Brett Story and Stephen Maing. It follows former and current Amazon employees as they form the Amazon Labor Union and seek to unionize Amazon’s JKF8 Warehouse in Staten Island. 

This film will be screened via Zoom on Thursday, June 19, at 7 p.m. Union‘s associate editor Katyann Gonzalez will be present for a Q and A after the screening. 

Gonzalez is an editor working across documentary, narrative, and branded Content. Currently, she is first assistant editor on director Lance Oppenheim’s new feature film for A24. She was a 2023–2024 Karen Schmeer Documentary Editing Fellow under the mentorship of Penelope Falk and Toby Shimin. She also volunteers with the Alliance of Documentary Editors as lead organizer for a harm accountability working group to resolve conflict among the membership through a transformative justice lens.
